If you are a student purchasing a copy of Building Java Programs for a course at your college, university, or other school, you should probably check with your school's bookstore first. For example, students at the University of Washington should check the UW Bookstore to find new and used copies of the textbook for purchase. (Some institutions also offer copies of the textbook on reserve at their school libraries; consult your instructor or library for more information.) Purchases made at your local academic bookstore benefit your school or university, so we encourage you to purchase there if possible.
